Our Role In Implementing (CPD)

We regulate education practice through standards set on education, training and conduct for Nurses and Midwives in the Tanzania both Registered and Enrolled Nurses in the country
 
We aims to make sure that Nursing and Midwifery are improved through updating knowledge, skills and attitudes so that nurses and midwives retain their capacity to practice safely, effectively and competently within their evolving scope of practice.
 
We  are committed to provide guidance to all stakeholders in delivering the CPD  program for Nurses and Midwives  to ensure that  the process for establishment , conduct are well equipped with the requirements for learning and teaching are in the standards
 
We also accredit and approval CPD program for quality assurance and standards for operation

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Nurses and Midwives are required to attain 30 points of active learning within 3years for eligibility to renew a practicing license.

The Council has developed a CPD guideline and logbook for Nurses and Midwives in Tanzania
Individual Nurse or Midwife is required to documents all CPD activities and gained points and submit to the Council during license renewal period

The Council exercise onsite continuous professional development through monitoring and evaluation. Currently Nurses and Midwives can get online reading materials through Applications and obtain their required CPD points.
